Art Nouveau! It was art that went viral – the first grand international style, practiced by a diverse collection of artists. And it wasn’t just painting; it was architecture, furniture, glassware, graphic design, jewellery, pottery, metal work, textiles and sculpture. It was art in everyday things and it made everyday people ask themselves – can’t we have art and beauty in the ordinary? I have decided that May 10th marks the beginning of my study of Art Nouveau. My interest was set in motion when I bought greeting cards at the local stationery store. It’s all about looking for the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Second Blog for Chasing Art
I’m trying my e-mail post for the first time on Chasing Art. My whole life has been the grand pursuit of art and symmetry. I guess that everyone has had the same goal in some form or other. We have different approaches. But in the end, what we construct is a life that is filled with beauty as defined by our goals, values & traditions. Without knowing, we have been Chasing Art. Art is life fully lived in the moment.
