“Color which, like music, is a matter of vibrations, reaches what is most general and therefore most indefinable in nature: its inner power.” Paul Gauguin (June 7, 1848 – May 8, 1903) Post-Impressionist artist who greatly influenced Pablo Picasso
You always ask the right questions. To me, yellow represents sunshine, joy and forward movement. When I was young, I lived in northern Manitoba, where winters were harsh and very dark, but where summer days never had darkness. I loved the north, but most of all I loved the summer nights where we would visit neighbours at ten at night, just as if it were early afternoon. I have wonderful memories of the north, and they all come back to me when I see yellow.
The greatest gift that blogging has given me, is the ability to hear the global stories. I am learning that we may be on opposite sides of the world, but we are on the same pathway. And that is a great comfort to me.
Can I buy that painting?
