ciao! i remember visiting two of their installations, in miami, ‘surrounded islands’ was the project in which they draped the islands off biscayne bay in a pink fabric and in new york’s central park the installation of ‘the gates’. from ‘the gates’ installtion, i have a piece of this fabric. both still vivid in mind.

Christo ran part of his running fence to the sea thru our ranch. nice man, Jeanne-Claude … well, she was good with the political side. seemed that was part of the art. 😉
